Our Responsibility for the Environment
Energy Efficiency and Reducing Our Carbon Footprint
We are part of the Energy Efficiency Agreement for the Finnish business sector, aiming for a 7.5% reduction in our total energy consumption by the end of the agreement period in 2025. To reduce energy use and, consequently, our carbon footprint in production, we transitioned from fossil fuel heating to district heating in 2023. At the same time, heat recovery systems were implemented in our production facilities.
Carbon-Neutral Electricity and Renewable District Heating
99.8% of the electricity we purchase is carbon neutral. Most of our purchased district heating is produced using renewable wood chips. We monitor the development of our operational carbon footprint and continuously seek new ways to reduce our CO₂ emissions. We are proud to report that our direct carbon emissions per produced unit have been decreasing in recent years:

Material Efficiency and Recycling
We strive to reduce material waste in our operations through various means. Our focus on material efficiency starts at the design stage, where we carefully consider material use and explore ways to minimize production by-products and waste. We monitor production by-products, recycled materials, and generated mixed waste. Our goal is to recycle production by-products as efficiently as possible. For example, all steel and aluminum by-products are fully recycled through our contracted partner. We also aim to find internal uses for surplus materials generated during production.
Water Usage and Chemical Management
We track our water consumption annually and look for ways to reduce the use of clean water in our operations.
We are developing our chemical use and chemical load management toward more environmentally friendly practices. We ensure the proper recycling and disposal of leftover oils, paints, solvents, and other chemicals in our production.
We continuously adjust our operations to find better ways to manage our chemical impact. In many of our structures, we opt for galvanizing instead of painting, which extends the product’s surface lifespan and prevents flaking paint from ending up as microplastics in the environment over time.
Our Impact on Society
Climate-related risks are a shared concern for us all. We consider the lifecycle impact of our products and aim to contribute to reducing the environmental burden of the logistics sector.
Aerodynamic, Lightweight, and Modular Solutions
We design our products to be as aerodynamic and low-rolling-resistance as possible, helping reduce environmental impact during the use of our transport equipment. We also have experience and expertise in equipping fully electric trucks.
We manufacture our products with a focus on durability and safety, while keeping the structures as lightweight as possible to maximize payload. Our long HCT (High-Capacity Transport) combinations are modular, allowing different transport equipment to be flexibly combined as needed. Using long HCT combinations minimizes environmental impact per transported unit.
The Role of Circular Economy in Transport
The circular economy is a key solution in mitigating climate risks in the transport sector. In our operations, it is visible in many ways. Thanks to sustainable and modular product design, parts can be replaced in our transport combinations without needing to rebuild the entire superstructure.
Durable and Recyclable Materials
We use durable materials in our products, including slightly thicker laminates in cargo space wall elements, improving wear and time resistance. Where possible, we opt for recyclable materials over single-use alternatives and consider lifecycle impacts by, for example, choosing galvanizing over painting.
Managing material circulation from a circular economy perspective is important to us. We pay close attention to recycling steel and aluminum by-products from laser cutting for reuse.
Improving Energy Efficiency
Monitoring and improving the energy efficiency of our production processes and increasing the share of renewable energy is a natural part of our operations. In our design, we consider not only assembly but also disassembly to enable maintenance, part replacement, and eventual recycling.
Extending Lifecycles and Maintenance Services
In addition to material and manufacturing choices, we extend the lifecycle of our products by offering comprehensive maintenance, repair, and modernization services. By following our user and maintenance guidelines, you can ensure your investment remains in top condition for as long as possible. Our spare parts service is fast and reliable when parts need replacement.
Utilizing Used Equipment
We also prioritize recycling and responsible dismantling of our transport equipment at the end of its lifecycle. One’s old may still be useful to another, and we offer options for acquiring used equipment. Even well-used vehicles may contain usable metal structures, allowing the equipment to serve a new user or purpose even after its original transport use has ended.
Our Social Responsibility
Employee Wellbeing and Safety
We care about our employees and strive to provide a motivating, inspiring, and supportive workplace. Our social responsibility also extends to ensuring, to the best of our ability, proper working conditions throughout our supply chain. We offer opportunities for employees to develop their skills through job rotation between departments and tasks, as well as training on new equipment and machinery. Occupational health and safety are top priorities—we want every employee to go home healthy at the end of each day. Together with occupational health services, we create and update plans to prevent work-related illnesses and accidents.
Diverse and Equal Workplace
We are proud of our diverse team, where people from different backgrounds work together toward shared goals. We provide equal career opportunities regardless of background, and we base hiring decisions on skills, knowledge, and genuine interest in working with us. In our currently male-dominated industry, 6% of our employees are women, and around 20% of our staff come from multicultural backgrounds.
Managing Turnover and Sick Leave
In recent years, our employee turnover has been around 30% relative to person-years, clearly higher than our target of under 10%, and above the industry average. This increase is largely due to the company’s rapid growth, with staffing increasing up to 30% annually.
Our sick leave rate has decreased from 4.4% to 3% of total working hours, staying well below the industry average of 4–5%. We aim to reduce both turnover and sick leave through improved job satisfaction and support for employee wellbeing. This includes enhancing workplace ergonomics, reducing repetitive and physically demanding tasks with automation, and helping our staff take care of their health.
Our Economic Responsibility and Governance
Ethical Business and Fair Competition
As a family-owned business, our governance is strongly guided by ethical principles. Our long in-house processing chain also supports our commitment to these principles. We act responsibly in sourcing raw materials and components and evaluate suppliers from an ethical standpoint. We ensure fair competition, combat corruption, and maintain transparent business practices.
High-Quality and Safe Products
Our products are designed to withstand time and wear, and are manufactured to fully meet our quality and safety standards. Our production processes are well-documented, and in case of any deviations, we conduct thorough investigations to prevent recurrence.
We always review customer feedback to improve our products and operations. This way, you can be confident that your new equipment is road-ready, reliable, and safe.
Innovations and Product Development from a Responsibility Perspective
Through product development and innovation, we continue to enhance our sustainability efforts—both in production processes and, especially, in our products. Trailer solutions that improve aerodynamics, telematics and remote diagnostics features, lighter structures, and alternative material choices offer great potential for more environmentally beneficial solutions. With product development, we can further increase the service life and efficiency of your equipment.
