Leppäkosken Sähkö acquired its first Piako-equipped electric service van back in 2017, so the company has long-standing experience with the products. The offer clearly reflected Piako’s experience with network construction work and these types of vehicles,” says Petri Järventausta, a network technician at Leppäkosken Sähkö.
Järventausta actively participated in the planning of the equipment via video calls and also visited to inspect the van during production. “I got exactly the kind of vehicle I wanted. All my requests were fulfilled,” he praises.
Practicality in All Conditions
According to Järventausta, the functionality of Piako’s utility vehicle setup has proven excellent in daily work. “There’s plenty of drawer space, the drawers are sturdy and slide smoothly. Heated cabinets are invaluable in day-to-day work: jackets and rain gear dry well, which is especially important when doing repair work after storms. The remote-controlled hydraulic winch has also seen a lot of use, for example when assisting loggers.”
He also appreciates how well the vehicle’s dimensions match the demands of real-world tasks: “This is the optimal size category. It’s suitable for every job and fits into tight yards as well.”

Each van carries about 1,000 kg of materials and tools, functioning as dependable workmates both during on-call assignments and large-scale construction projects. “These vehicles are the core of our work.
